Limiting the Role of Government
There’s no question that the bigger government gets, the more we see corruption and waste, higher taxes, out of control spending, and complicated bureaucracy. The more control given to people who sit in Washington, the less individual liberty all Americans will have.
The sheer cost and size of government matters. We face an entitlement crisis. The level of our deficit and debt are unsustainable. Demographics are working against us rather than in our favor. And the current leadership in Washington has made our fiscal problems more, not less, acute. Unless we begin to reverse this trend fairly significantly, America will change in deep and lasting ways. We cannot continue on our present course and remain a strong, vibrant society. There is an urgent need to re-limit government.
The most effective type of government is the one that is closest to the people it serves. Too often, bureaucrats and politicians in Washington think they know what’s better for people than those who live everyday in their communities.
